About Us
When Veterans leave the military, they don’t just lose a job—they lose their mission, their team, and their sense of purpose.
FLYWERX was founded by Veterans to change that.
We help Veterans rebuild their lives through fly fishing, brotherhood, and professional guide training—giving them a new mission on the water.
Our program sends Veterans through a 7-day, all-inclusive guide school in Idaho, delivered in partnership with an Orvis-endorsed Western Rivers Guide School program, hosted by WorldCast Anglers—one of the most respected in the country. Through this experience, Veterans gain more than time on the river. They gain confidence, connection, and real-world skills that can lead to careers in the fly fishing and outdoor industry.
To date, we have successfully put 30 Veterans through the program, and we now train 20 Veterans each year through two annual cohorts.
Every participant is supported by fellow Veterans who understand the transition from military life—creating a strong network of mentorship, accountability, and trust.
This isn’t just a fishing experience.
It’s a path to purpose, a renewed sense of identity, and for many, a new career.

The FLYWERX Project
